If you attend a live Gotye show, one thing you’ll notice is how many different videos he’ll have. This is one Aussie who takes his art seriously, visually and musically. Gotye has displayed a keen sense of storytelling – long before a concept with body paint shot him and a certain Kiwi up the music charts. His latest video for another “Easy Way Out,” another track off “Making Mirrors,” may make your head spin but the stop animation directed by Darcy Prendergast of Oh Yeah Wow transforms the tale of a mundane daily routine in to one quick episode of chaos. Don’t worry, the blood isn’t real, and if you ever get “braindead from boredom” you can you lead yourself to distraction with his YouTube page, which features 14 more great visual adventures.
