Dublab, the nonprofit Internet radio station, DJ collective and general dispensary of positivity, marks 13 years as a Los Angeles concern this spring, and to help gain momentum for its biannual pledge drive (they call it “Proton Drive”), they turned to a founding member to stoke the flames. Daedelus has composed an original “Theme Song,” being made available for free download. Donations get you various other goodies too – the Labrats’ mixes, for instance, offer an excellent break from standard radio fare, if not out-and-out head trips. If you’re not conversant in Dublab, you should background yourself on them, many of whom are forerunners of what has become known as the L.A. beat scene.
