Stream: Family of the Year, ‘Diversity’

Family of the Year still sounds happy. No big news there; with last year’s “St. Croix” EP, the Silver Lake quintet solidified its place in the brigade of local bands trading in exuberant California pop. The bulletin is that FOTY, now signed to Nettwerk, has completed its debut album, “Loma Vista,” which will be released July 10. The catchy single “Diversity,” while not exactly diverse lyrically, sounds like a mantra. Optimism rules, kids. Just ask Grouplove.
