The new single from Metric is a sexy beast, Emily Haines cooing over an alpine guitar line and insistent beats. Makes you want to hear more of the quartet’s fifth album, “Synthetica,” doesn’t it? Well, that’s what Metric is counting on. They’ve turned it into a little game – Synthetica Hide and Seek – in which the faithful can engage in an online scavenger hunt to unlock an early stream of the record. Or you can just play “Speed the Collapse” and “Youth Without Youth” on repeat until June 12, when the new album is out.
