How big a success was “Who Shot Rock & Roll Live,” the KCRW-hosted series in the park next to the Annenberg Space for Photography in Century City? Huge. Long lines, capacity crowds, exhilarating performances ā€“ including Saturday’s from Raphael Saadiq and Band of Skulls. The live series was mounted in conjunction with the museum’s “Who Shot Rock & Roll,” which continues through Oct. 7. The exhibition features 166 prints from marquee photographers documenting some of the great figures (and moments) in rock ā€™nā€™ roll history. There’s also a short documentary made just for the exhibition, among other attractions. If you missed the live series, “Who Shot Rock & Roll” has plenty of other offerings, including a lecture series featuring, for instance, Henry Diltz (Aug. 16) and Mark Seliger (Aug. 30).

Speaking of photographs, Buzz Bands LA contributor Laurie Scavo captured the scene at Saturday’s concert.
