Buzz Bands LA presents Spirit Animal, Jutty Ranx and Busy Living on Sept. 25 at the Satellite

Spirit Animal, the quartet fronted by formerly L.A.-based dynamo Steve Cooper (fka the Gray Kid), is back. First, Cooper and gang, who are now based in New York, are headlining the Satellite on Tuesday, Sept. 25 in a show presented by Buzz Bands LA that also features Jutty Ranx and Busy Living. Second, Spirit Animal has a new EP on the way; “This Is a Test” will be out Nov. 14, featuring “Crocodile Skins,” which we featured back in February.

Besides the fact he has mad flyer design skills [an infographic, genius], Cooper has been cultivating his funk-filled, psych-laced party pastiche with new bandmates Paul Michel, Cal Stamp and Ronen Evron. Singer Justin Taylor and Jutty Ranx captured hearts and activated dancing shoes with their EP released earlier this summer. And Busy Living (named, we hope, for the mantra in our favorite movie ever, “The Shawshank Redemption”) is the new band from Mike Moonves (Chief) that recently released its first EP “It’s a War Out There.” Son of Stan (Jordan Richardson) and Chutie Moreno (of Future People) will DJ.

Here’s the info the graphic didn’t cover. Here’s where to get tickets.
