Video premiere: Son Ark, ‘Going to the Woods’

Son Ark’s unvarnished, heart-on-its-sleeve roots rock sneaks up on you like a speed trap on a two-lane highway. For fans of Americana in Los Angeles, it’s like finding home cookin’ in a mini-mall. Which is kind of where the band’s first video takes you. Directed by Carol Fahey and featuring Kat Primeau in the kitchen, the clip for “Going to the Woods” suggests that life in the spotlight is no match for simpler pleasures, like the scent of something delicious. The song is off Son Ark’s “Much Obliged” EP from late last year. Dig in, before it’s too late.
