‣ The Polyphonic Spree’s annual December shows in their hometown of Dallas have featured tap-dancing grandmas, bell choirs, comedians and all kinds of holiday high jinx. They bring their “Holidaydream” tour (that’s the title of their new album too) to the Fonda Theatre tonight.
‣ No Doubt winds up its seven-night stand at the Gibson Amphitheatre, supported by Best Coast and JJAMZ.
‣ The Lonely Wild heads up a big lineup of local bands at the Echo, where they’re joined by the Far West, Freedom Fry and the Wild Reeds at the Echo
‣  Death Grips finally make it back to L.A. – the Sacramento rap outfit holds forth at the Echoplex.
‣ And JD McPherson brings his old-school rock ’n’roll to the Troubadour, with Oklahoma garage-rockers Broncho opening.
