Plenty to see on a rainy Thursday:

James Levy & the Blood Red Rose – the pairing of Levy and Allison Pierce of the Pierces – visit the Echo behind their new album “Pray to Be Free,” which was produced by Guy Berryman of Coldplay. It’s the first L.A. show for the band on what promises to be a beautiful night of folk-pop with boy/girl vocals – L.A.’s Daniel Ahearn & the Jones opens. That’s Levy’s video for “Hung to Dry,” above.
‣ Jimmy Gnecco’s rock quartet Ours is back, rocking the Viper Room along with Lady Sinatra, Dekades and the Diamond Light.
The Cold & Lovely – Meghan Toohey (the Weepies), Nicole Fiorentino (Smashing Pumpkins) and Patty Schemel (Hole), along with Nicki Nevlin and Melineh Kurdian – headline the Satellite, supported by Owls.
Muse and Band of Skulls are back for a second night at Staples Center.
‣ Texas a capella outfit Pentatonix holds forth at the Fonda Theatre.
‣ And with their debut album just out, FIDLAR does a 6 p.m. in-store at Amoeba.
