Josh Legg is in such a groove he could recruit a singer at karaoke night and make her a star. As Goldroom, the L.A. electro guru utilized the talents of the sultry Chela for last summer’s ascendent hit “Fifteen.” He returns this week with the single “Only You Can Show Me,” letting the synths and beats set the tone for a song that’s perfect for a top-drive drive up the PCH. The wafer-thin vocals come courtesy of Mereki Beach, an Aussie ex-pat and once the singer in Melbourne’s Peacocks. And on the next drive up the PCH, we’ll be thinking of everybody he could have recruited, still jamming “Only You Can Show Me” loud.
