We’ve been waiting a long time for Echo Park-based Spirit Vine to release their full-length, but we’ve also gotten some nice brooding tunes along the way. The pysch-rock quartet will release “Ascender” via Manimal Vinyl in August, and the latest teaser single “City Daze” is yet again another enticing hypnotic nugget to keep fans in anticipation. Jaquelinne Cingolani still sings in a slinky manner, but the delivery is a bit more ferocious as both the guitar and percussion have become more aggressive. If you’re inclined to Spirit Vine putting a little more punk in their rock, you can thank Joe Cardamone (The Icarus Line) for production on this tune.
