Hi, good morning, nice to be back, great to see you, and we are still resolving some of our website issues but here are tonight’s fantastic shows:

‣ New Zealand pop sensation Lorde, on her first proper North American tour, plays to a sold-out Echoplex. The 16-year-old’s debut album is on the way Sept. 30, and above is the video for her first big single, “Royals.” Until the Ribbon Breaks support at tonight’s show.
‣ Hanni El Khatib and Bombino team up for a big night at the Twilight Concert Series at the Santa Monica Pier.
‣ U.K. soul-rockers the Heavy headline the Fonda Theatre behind their latest album “The Glorious Dead,” and the Silent Comedy open.
‣ Sierra Leone’s Refugee All-Stars play a free show as part of the Sunset Concerts series at the Skirball Center.
‣ The Veils bring their rock noir to the Troubadour, where Beach Party opens.
‣ And if you remember the Kiss or Kill club nights around L.A. from 2002 to ’07, this is a good one: Dave Palamaro’s documentary movie on the scene, “In Heaven There Is No Beer,” is celebrated at the Satellite, where many of the Kiss or Kill stalwarts will perform – including Bang Sugar Bang, Midway, Get Set Go, the Dollyrots, the Randies and Silver Needle.
