Kid Cadaver create the kind music that makes new friends almost immediately —  infectious indie-pop with sticky choruses and a bright, wide-eyed outlook. Their single “New Friends,” released earlier this year, built on the momentum the trio of Ray Venta, Kenzo Cardenas and Jeremy Harris started with their 2013 debut. And the colorful video for the track, directed by Casey Curry, make you long for an invitation their next summertime party. Who’s got the right stuff, Team Yellow, Team Red or Team Green? “We knew right off the bat that we wanted to have fun making the video, so we got the ‘teams’ idea and brainstormed concepts til we landed on the water-balloon war,” Venta says. “And of course we had to all make friends and party at the end. Filming was a blast and it was awesome to bring a bunch of people together to do it.” If only all the world’s conflicts could be settled this way. The song will appear on the free EP “Roam” that Kid Cadaver is releasing Aug. 21
