Indie-rock sophisticates Deep Sea Diver — the Seattle quartet fronted by Orange County native Jessica Dobson — are returning with their second full-length next year. “Secrets” will be out Feb. 9, following up 2014’s “Always Waiting” EP and 2012’s brilliant debut “History Speaks.” The new album’s title track spans a jammy 6 minutes, and “jam” is no pejorative here: Soft then loud then “Remember-your-first-love” tender, “Secrets” builds from a dizzying bass line into a guitar rager, as if Dobson’s secrets are indeed spilling out. Deep Sea Diver — Dobson, along with her husband, Peter Mansen, and Garrett Gue and Elliot Jackson — probably would have been more prolific since their 2009 inception had she not spent time as a touring player for people like the Shins, Beck and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Which makes the coming release all the more anticipated.
