Saturday’s Los Angeles concerts:

► Celebrate the Year of the Monkey at the Chinese New Year Festival — besides the 117th annual Golden Dragon Parade (1 p.m.), the live music stage has performances by Valley Queen, Kid Bloom, Veronica Bianqui, James Allen Spirit, the Slightlys, Molly Moore & Brandyn Burnette, Jubilo Drive and Nightair. It happens at Chinatown Central Plaza from noon to 8 p.m., and it’s free and all-ages.
Tribute to the Beach Boys (1967-1977) goes off at the Alex Theatre, with the Wild Honey Orchestra and guests Al Jardine, Micky Dolenz, Debbi Peterson, Steve Wynn, Susan Cowsill, The Muffs, Cindy Lee Berryhill, Syd Straw, Anna Waronker & Rachel Haden, Thomas Walsh, John Wicks, Roger Joseph Manning Jr. and many more.
►At the Troubadour, it’s Americana’s Pre-Grammy Salute and Tribute to Glenn Frey.
Ja Rule and Ashanti team up for a show at Club Nokia.
