Buzz Bands LA returns with ‘Dear Austin, Love L.A.’ on March 16

Los Angeles-based music lovers BUZZBANDS.LA return to Austin this year for another “Dear Austin, Love L.A.” party showcasing eight top emerging artists from Southern California.

The day party will be held from noon to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, at The Main II, 603 Red River St. No RSVP is necessary.

This year’s lineup features The Moth & the Flame, Miya Folick, Brian Whelan, James Supercave, The Soft White Sixties, Feels, Kid Bloom and Paul Bergmann.

The event is presented in conjunction with artisanal liquor brand Ilegal Mezcal and the Los Angeles hotspot Harvard & Stone, host to the weekly Ilegal Mezcal Music Series for emerging artists, along with Austin-based Heard Entertainment and Solstice Live. It marks BUZZBANDS.LA’s eighth annual March showcase and fifth in the “Dear Austin, Love L.A.” series.

Past BUZZBANDS.LA showcases in Austin have featured the likes of Local Natives, Other Lives, Milo Greene, Hanni El Khatib, Cayucas, Avid Dancer, Linda Perry’s Deep Dark Robot, Dead Sara, PAPA, Caught a Ghost, Sego, the Henry Clay People, Fever the Ghost, the Lonely Wild and Dear Boy.

BUZZBANDS.LA was founded in 2008 founded by former Los Angeles Times editor/writer Kevin Bronson as a continuation of his Buzz Bands column (2002-08) in The Times.
