Together Pangea
Together Pangea

Friday’s Los Angeles concerts:

► It’s a packed night at the Regent Theater: “Dance in a Panic” — a British-style (read: lot of live music) dance party kicks off with not only a heavy-hitting lineup of live bands but a remote DJ set. Yes, Peter Hook of New Order will be “phoning it in” from Manchester, U.K., via something called Clubcast. Playing live will be Together Pangea, Gateway Drugs, Magic Wands, Drinking Flowers and KAV, the L.A.-based Brit who is the night’s resident artist. This show will also be the record-release party for Drinking Flowers’ “New Swirled Order.”
► Swedish singer-songwriter José González does the first of two nights at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
► British singer-songwriter Jack Garratt headlines the Fonda Theatre behind his debut album “Phase,” which came out in February. Kacy Hill opens.
► The second of three Pennywise shows at the Hollywood Palladium finds the veteran punk rockers doing their second album, “Unknown Road,” in its entirety. H2O, 98 Mute and Death by Stereo open.
► Icelandic indie-pop quartet Kaleo headline the Troubadour, with Firekid opening.
► And Strangers You Know celebrate the release of their EP “Loosen Up the Leash” with a show at the Roxy Theatre. Ghost Lit Kingdom opens.
