Underage and overcharged, pop-punk band Franky Flowers roam the streets of Los Angeles looking for mischief in the “Corpse” video, a song summed up with the line,”don’t watch the people you love grow old/just watch the people you hate grow cold.” “It’s a negative song,” says Franky Fox. “It describes death and all the thoughts about it: the fear, the confusion and the loathing. There isn’t any one thing this song is specifically about, it’s kind of a collage of dark thoughts all splattered onto a canvas.” The canvas he creates with bandmates Ellington and Abe is fast-paced, loud, and full of angst, as the trio encounter a world that kind of sucks but offers a fun ride. “Corpse” is out on on Turnstile Music, following last year’s cassette single on Lolipop Records, and 2014’s “Blue Eyes” EP, as the band gears up for a full-length sometime this year.
