► The third annual Low End Theory Festival goes off at the Shrine Expo Hall, boasting a lineup featuring Ghostface & Raekwon, Invisibl Skratch Piklz, MixedByAli, Daedelus, Ras G, Prefuse 73, Jonwayne, Teebs, Milo, Dorian Concept, EPROM, Gonjasufi, Samiyam, Mono/Poly, Dibiase and moew.
► Nas and Wild Belle play the last of KCRW’s Sound in Focus series at the Annenberg Space for Photography.
► The Garden and the Muffs head up a Burger Records takeover the free Saturdays Off the 405 at the Getty Museum. Gap Dream, Jessie Jones and VAJJ also perform.
► Autolux headline the El Rey Theatre behind their latest album “Pussy’s Dead,” with Eureka the Butcher opening.
► It’s Twenty One Pilots and Mutemath at the Forum
► Cee-Lo Green visits the Roxy Theatre, supported by Nikki’s Wives.
► Songs that “fueled social and political movements through the decades” are the order of the night at Grand Performances’ Our Nation Awakens, which brings Barbara Morrison, Cary Brothers, Cody ChesnuTT, Jimetta Rose, Joey Dosik, Maya Jupiter, Mia Doi Todd and Rachel Fannan to California Plaza for a free show.
► Cherry Glazerr and No Parents top the bill at the Dirty Penni Fest at the Echo and Echoplex, with Guantanamo Baywatch, Mike Watt & the Missingmen, Meat Market, Death Hymn Number 9, Winter, Lovely Bad Things, So Many Wizards and more joining the fray.
► Day 2 of Lobsterfest, features the Colourist, Kitten, Andrew Watt, Leslie Stevens, Dear Boy, the Rebel Light, Banta, Hawai and Honey County performing on the L.A. waterfront in San Pedro.
