Genre-mashing L.A. luminaries Ozomatli will headline the Eclectic Music Festival & Art Walk, which returns to South Pasadena on May 6 for a ninth year.

In fact, Ozomatli, celebrating their 21st year as a band, will do double-duty at this year’s Eclectic — they will kick off the festival on the Gold Line under their guise Ozokidz, performing their original children’s music. Later, the 2002 Grammy winners, known for their socially and politically aware lyrics and their bricolage of rock, funk, hip-hop and Latin music, will close out the day-long festival in the evening.

The free, all-ages festival goes off at various venues on and around Mission Street in South Pas. The event’s full lineup will be announced later.
