Drab Majesty‘s Deb DeMure and Mona-D. delivered a delightfully haunting experience of arpeggio-driven goth pop at the Echoplex on Saturday night. Wearing floor-length black robes, white face paint, and futuristic reflective glasses, they looked like prophets from another planet, and performed favorites from 2015’s “Careless” and “The Demonstration,” which came out this past January on Dais Records. In keeping with the dark and cool atmosphere, Brooklyn duo Xeno and Oaklander, opened with a synth-heavy set of subliminal electronic music.
