“I’m a goofball and a sweet kid. I got a squeaky voice,” says Destiny Frasqueri, aka Princess Nokia. That all may be true but in the video for “G.O.A.T.,” riding around in hot red three-wheeler like she just car-jacked a superhero, Frasqueri adds that she’s kind of a badass: “I ain’t the best, but damn I’m the best.” “G.O.A.T.” is her first release on Rough Trade Records, but the gal who got discovered on YouTube has a few albums already in her pocket, last year’s “1992,” “Metallic Butterfly,” and “Honey Suckle.” When she’s not rapping about being great, she’s helping other girls discover their greatness through Smart Girl Club, an urban feminist collective focused on the arts and community outreach, which she co-founded with video co-director Milah Libin.
