Los Angeles concerts for Friday:

The Avett Brothers headline the Greek Theatre, joined by Dr. John & the Nite Trippers.
► With his latest album “So You Wannabe An Outlaw” just out in June, Steve Earle & the Dukes do the first of two nights the Troubadour, with the Mastersons supporting.
James Vincent McMorrow visits the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in support of his new album “True Care.”
► Composer Hans Zimmer’s remarkable tour is winding to a close, and tonight he and his orchestra visit the Shrine Auditorium.
Diana Krall, whose new album “Turn Up the Quiet” came out in May, does the first of two nights at the Hollywood Bowl, joined by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.
Ed Sheeran is back for a second night at Staples Center.
Kendrick Lamar’s big tour heads to Orange County for a night at the Honda Center, where YG joins him.
► With his new album “Signs” on the way in September, Jonny Lang headlines the Teragram Ballroom.
Hanni El Khatib plays tonight’s installment of the free Figat7th Downtown Festival.
The Dustbowl Revival, whose self-titled album came out in June, play a free concert at the Levitt Pavilion Pasadena.
► It’s a second night with Maggie Rogers at the Fonda Theatre, with Kacy Hill supporting.
► And Tracy Bryant (ex-Corners) and Matt Lamkin (ex-The Soft Pack) & the Confirmations team up for a show at the Echo, along with Vanilla and Smokescreens.
