The Avett Brothers thrilled a big crowd at the Greek Theatre on Friday night, playing a set that included five songs from their latest album “True Sadness,” a couple of Bob Dylan covers and then, during the encore, a song that evoked some true sadness, the cover of “Black Hole Sun” they have been performing since Chris Cornell’s death. Also included was the new song “Orion’s Belt.” The inimitable Dr. John opened the night.
