Dirtybird Campout 2017: Bigger lineup, new location

Tickets are now on sale for the third annual Dirtybird Campout music and lifestyle festival on Oct. 6-8, which this year moves from its 2015-16 home of Oak Canyon Park to the San Antonio Campground a mile from the south shore of Lake San Antonio near Bradley (not the same location as Lightning in a Bottle, which is on the north shore).

The lineup, as announced by Dirtybird Records founder Barclay Crenshaw, aka Claude VonStroke, has an array of house, techno, hip-hop and offbeat musical artists and DJs.

Expanding to two stages, headliner Justin Martin will be joined by Madlib, Matthew Dear, Danny Daze, Eats Everything and DJ Deeon & DJ Funk. Other highlights included the Soulection showcase with the Whooligan and Sasha Marie), Desert Hearts’ Mikey Lion and Porkchop, and Mija’s Fk A Genre with Netsky and Ryan Forever). Drum-and-bass master DJ Marky will be flying in from Brazil and Madame X will be bringing grime stylings from Manchester. Also: Egyptian Lover, Bleep Bloop and AraabMUZIK will be joined by the likes of Christian Martin, Worthy, Shiba San, J.Phlip, Walker & Royce, Kill Frenzy, Will Clarke,  Sacha Robotti, Jesse Rose, Gene Farris, Lauren Lane, Britta Arnold, Cut Snake and Mike Servito.

The weekend will also feature its usual cadre of “camp” activities, including but not limited to: games, yoga, stargazing, bird watching, late-night karaoke, bingo, scavenger hunt, talent show, beat boxing and comedy competitions.
