Sibling trio JAMESDAVIS (sometimes rendered James Davis) first emerged in 2015 with the singles “Better Than You Are” and “Co-Pilot” and an EP. Now the Reynolds kids — fraternal twins Jess and Rey and their brother Auston — return with the three-song EP “217,” the first of a two-parter that will lead up to the release of their debut album. The silky-smooth songs, co-produced by the band, Brooklyn duo Clyde & Harry (Ludacris, Ghostface Killah, Theophilus London) and Michael Barney, shift between pop and R&B while showcasing the talents of all three. The EP was released today via Motown.
