L.A.’s love affair with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club continued unabated on Saturday night as the band brought the material from its new album “Wrong Creatures” to the sold-out Fonda Theatre. BRMC’s career-spanning set, which Peter Hayes, Robert Levon Been and Leah Shapiro administered from the shadows of the dramatically lit stage, included nine of the 12 songs on the band’s new album, “Wrong Creatures.” The set of dark, psychedelic blues was front-loaded with new songs — “Spook,” “Little Thing Gone Wild” and “King of Bones” to start — and ended with a fond, familiar glance back to the trio’s 2001 debut, “B.R.M.C.” For the three-song encore, “Red Eyes and Tears” and “Whatever Happened to My Rock ’n’ Roll” sandwiched the long new jam “Ninth Configuration.”

Night Beats opened the night with their grungy garage-rock, with Been (who co-produced and played on their 2016 album “Who Sold My Generation”) joining them onstage for the finale.

BRMC setlist: Spook, Little Thing Gone Wild, King of Bones, Beat the Devil’s Tattoo, Ain’t No Easy Way, Question of Faith, Circus Bazooko, 666 Conducer, Berlin, Conscience Killer, Stop, Echo, Carried From the Start, Mercy, Fault Line, All Rise, Let the Day Begin (The Call cover), White Palms, Six Barrel Shotgun, Spread Your Love. Encore: Red Eyes and Tears, Ninth Configuration, Whatever Happened to My Rock ‘n’ Roll (Punk Song)
