The weather (mostly) cleared, the host smiled and Grammy-winning DJ/producer ZEDD capped the first day of Air + Style at Exposition Park with a pyrotechnic spectacular as the music/boarding/lifestyle festival kicked off its fourth year in Los Angeles.

Festival mastermind Shaun White was on hand for autographs and photos, his most recent gold medal draped around his neck.

Festival-goers dodged puddles left over from recent rainstorms to catch sets from DRAM, Cashmere Cat and Mura Masa. Cut Copy played through a shower as their fans did a rain dance. L.A. rockers Together Pangea and NYC indie-poppers Haerts held down the early sets on the fest’s two stages.
