A new GospelbeacH album is coming Nov. 30 via Alive Naturalsound Records that ties together the band’s full discography, including a cover of founding member Neal Casal’s “Freeway To The Canyon.” “Another Winter Alive” consists of five previously unreleased studio tracks recorded during the sessions for last year’s “Another Summer Of Love,” along with five live songs recorded in London during their California Fantasy tour that centered around stripped-down versions of songs from the band’s 2015 debut album, “Pacific Surf Line.”

The band creates quintessential West Coast roots music that harks AM and FM country folk and rock of the 1960s and ’70s and makes the listener want to drive off to the desert wearing cowboy boots to light a candle for Gram Parsons. But that’s not to say they aren’t innovating things along the way. The song “‘Runnin’ Blind’ is our attempt to blend Krautrock with the Everly Brothers, says singer-songwriter Brent Rademaker. “Lyrically it’s one of those prophetic songs that weren’t real at the time, but life ended up imitating art.” Cranking off with a wash of noise, the tune quickly picks up the pace and you can practically feel the wind blowing through your hair as it breezes on by. Some scorching guitar gives way to a cosmic breakdown, as if the road just opened up and swallowed its passengers. The song then floats to the finish line.
