Bellsaint

Bellsaint is the nom de tune of Caroline Brooks, the Texan-born, L.A.-based singer-songwriter who has honed her chops co-writing songs for other artists and penning tunes for television and commercials. She released a trickle of singles in 2018 and counts French pop, Sun Records and the vocal stylings of artists such as Nancy Sinatra among her influences.

You can hear all that in the retro sizzle of her new single “Like Gold to Me,” which was co-written by Adrianne Gonzalez (aka AG, of the Rescues, who also produced the track) and Garrison Starr. True friends are like precious metals, right? That’s what Bellsaint was going for with this upbeat song, explaining that she “[wanted] it to elicit the rare joy that comes from finding an undeniable connection in a friend you have mad love and respect for.”

“Like Gold to Me” is out today.
