Ticket Giveaway: Robert Francis at the Troubadour, Wednesday, May 23

Robert Francis’ new album “Strangers in the First Place” came out today, and the third full-length from the L.A. troubadour is full of spectacular songcraft. Don’t take our word for it — can stream it on Spinner. Francis will celebrate Wednesday night with a hometown show at the Troubadour, supported by Leslie Stevens and Edwards & Edwards. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 the day of the show, and are available here.

Ticket Giveaway: Greg Laswell at the El Rey Theatre on Thursday, May 31

Touring in support of his new album, “Landline,” Greg Laswell is playing the El Rey Theatre on Thursday, May 31. “Landline” was recorded by Laswell in a church-turned-house in a small lobstering town in down-east Maine. Inspired by hip-hop records that he was listening to while writing and recording, he wanted the album to feature collaborations with a number of well-known female singers, including Ingrid Michaelson, Sia, Elizabeth Ziman (of Elizabeth and the Catapult), and Sara Bareilles. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the talented producer and musician, as well as Elizabeth Ziman who will be the special guest. Tickets are $20 and are available for purchase here.
