Starting tonight at the Roxy, the music of the late David Bowie will be feted all over Southern Califronia this month.
He dedicates “Rocket Man” to “the Starman himself” during a two-hour concert at the Wiltern. Included: old hits and new songs from the forthcoming “Wonderful Crazy Night.”
He “died peacefully (Sunday) surrounded by his family after a courageous 18-month battle with cancer,” a statement said.
David Bowie’s 25th album will come out on Jan. 8, his 69th birthday. The title track is a trip, and director Johan Renck’s video even trippier.
