Crane Like the Bird, the project of drummer-songwriter Kyle Crane, releases its debut album Friday. The album features Conor Oberst, James Mercer, Ben Bridwell, Luke Steele, Sabina Sciubba, Peter Moren, M. Ward, Blake Mills, Daniel Lanois and Brad Meldau.
Kyle Crane enlists many of the artists for whom he has drummed — Conor Oberst, Ben Bridwell, James Mercer, Luke Steele, M. Ward, Peter Morén, M. Ward, Blake Mills and Daniel Lanois among them — to contribute to his debut album “Crane Like the Bird.”
