Legendary Patti Smith guitarist Lenny Kaye and Rhino Records will host this year’s annual Wild Honey Foundation benefit at the Alex Theatre on May 19, celebrating the 50th anniversary of “Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era, 1965-1968.”
With the three surviving members of the Lovin’ Spoonful joining in — their first time onstage together in almost two decades — the Wild Honey Orchestra’s annual benefit concert Saturday was more than a mere celebration of the ’60s greats’ music. The sold-out crowd at the Alex Theatre felt the love.
The Band co-founder Garth Hudson will join guests Jackson Browne, Peter Case, Victoria Williams and many more at the benefit tribute at the Alex Theatre.
