Norwegian punk songstress Ida Maria [that’s her video for “Oh My God,” above] turned more than a few heads at Spaceland on Monday night, and I heard a several people saying they were adjusting their plans to catch the second of her two-night L.A. stand. Tonight’s show is at the Viper Room, with L.A. trio Gliss (whose sophomore album “Devotion Implosion” is coming soon) and Andrew Paul Woodworth (he of the acoustic “Fight for Your Right to Party” cover). … 8mm — the sultry, trip-hop-flavored pairing of producer Sean Beavan and his wife Juliette — performs at the Mint. … Sara Lov continues her Spaceland residency, supported by John Wood’s formidable project, Learning Music. … Also a Tuesday night thing this month: Coby Brown at the Hotel Cafe. … At the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa, there’s the second of four showcases for the OC Music Awards, and Aushua and Venus Infers are playing tonight’s installment. … And Warpaint, joined by Brother Reade, rocks the Echoplex in celebration of its self-titled EP.
