Fitz & the Tantrums have an irresistible take on ’60s soul, and somehow I’d missed this video for “Breakin’ the Chains of Love” until somebody tapped me on the shoulder this week. Now that that’s taken care of, I’ve penciled in May 20 at Viper Room, where Fitz plays his next L.A. gig. Download the song here.

I still like this song, I really do, but I can’t watch this video all the way through, or even count the ways it’s clichéd. Next, please.
