Tonight in L.A.: Buzz Bands 4, A Camp, Von Bondies

lassies-viperThe Buzz Bands-hosted party certainly isn’t the only show in town tonight, but, well, for selfish reasons I will tout it first. It’s a night of great guitar rock at the Echoplex – doors open at 8:30, with the Broken Remotes playing at 9, Amusement Parks of Fire at 10, the Lassie Foundation [pictured last week at the Viper Room] at 11 and Magic Mirror at 12, with one of my favorite DJs-about-town, Ana Calderon, spinning music in between sets. Watch my Twitter (@krbronson) for an announcement this afternoon about the show. … Only one flight of stairs away, Oliver Future continues its residency at the Echo, with Gliss and Alexandra Hope opening. … Moving west from Echo Park environs: Castledoor continues its residency at Spaceland, where Deep Sea Diver is among the supporting acts, and Charlie Wadhams brings his sublime folk-pop to the Silverlake Lounge. … Meanwhile, across town, A Camp, featuring Nina Persson from the Cardigans, plays the Troubadour. … The Von Bondies, with support from Bloodcat Love, rock the Viper Room. … And Jets Overhead are in from Canada to play the Hotel Cafe.
