Tonight in L.A.: Buzz Bands 4, A Camp, Von Bondies

The Buzz Bands-hosted party certainly isn’t the only show in town tonight, but, well, for selfish reasons I will tout it first. It’s a night of great guitar rock at the Echoplex – doors open at 8:30, with the Broken Remotes playing at 9, Amusement Parks of Fire at 10, the Lassie Foundation [pictured last week at the Viper Room] at 11 and Magic Mirror at 12, with one of my favorite DJs-about-town, Ana Calderon, spinning music in between sets. Watch my Twitter (@krbronson) for an announcement this afternoon about the show. … Only one flight of stairs away, Oliver Future continues its residency at the Echo, with Gliss and Alexandra Hope opening. … Moving west from Echo Park environs: Castledoor continues its residency at Spaceland, where Deep Sea Diver is among the supporting acts, and Charlie Wadhams brings his sublime folk-pop to the Silverlake Lounge. … Meanwhile, across town, A Camp, featuring Nina Persson from the Cardigans, plays the Troubadour. … The Von Bondies, with support from Bloodcat Love, rock the Viper Room. … And Jets Overhead are in from Canada to play the Hotel Cafe.
Looking forward to this!
Had fun at the show last night. Especially enjoyed The Lassie Foundation. Left with several CDs.
