nodoubt1No Doubt’s return to the road has been triumphant, from all the reviews, and it finally hits the band’s native southern California tonight. Paramore is the main support band at the sold-out Gibson Amphitheatre, and although they don’t seem to be listed on LiveNation sites, Sweden’s the Sounds are first up – their new album “Crossing the Rubicon” is loads of fun. … Elbow has been supporting Coldplay on its tour, but breaks away tonight to headline the Wiltern where locals Mellowdrone resurface and Jesca Hoop opens. …”  Excellent twosome of Canadian acts hitting the Roxy tonight – Winnepeg’s the Weakerthans and Toronto’s Jason Collett, he of Broken Social Scene. … With their new album “Wild Young Hearts” still a ways off (Sept. 22), London garage rockers Noisettes hit Spaceland for Club NME, with the Magic Wands supporting. … Voxhaul Broadcast and the Union Line get your evening starting early with a 7 p.m. show in downtown’s Pershing Square. … Later, at Bordello, it’s the Movies, Manhattan Murder Mystery and the Health Club. … Young Valley rockers Billy Boy on Poison play to a sold-out Troubadour to mark the release of their debut album “Drama Junkie Queen.” … Also: Boney James at the Hollywood Bowl. … David Garza and Raul Pacheco at the Mont; Daedelus doing Low End theory at the Airliner; Enter Shikari opening for August Burns Red at the Key Club; Hotel St. George at the Silverlake Lounge; and Watts Ensemble at the Bootleg Theater.
