Three excellent residencies start in Silver Lake/Echo Park environs, all featuring artists whose albums I have touted in this space. Jonneine Zapata [album, tour diary], fresh off the road with Soulsavers, does Mondays this month at the Silverlake Lounge, and tonight the support includes the Faraway Places and newbies International Tennis Champions, who just finished recording their new material at Kingsize Soundlabs. … Correatown [download] launches its stint at the Echo, and the Web In Front-presented bill features the Voyeurs and Eagle & Talon. … And Light FM [album] begins its stand at Spaceland, with We Barbarians and Tigers Can Bite You supporting. … Elsewhere, Thom Yorke plays the second of two sold-out nights at the Orpheum. … School of Seven Bells [pictured], with the deluxe edition of its album “Alpinisms” out on Vagrant, comes back through town for a show at the Trouabour (with Warpaint opening). … Also: Meaghan Smith’s album-release party at the Hotel Cafe; and Chingalera at the Viper Room.
