The sold-out Magnetic Fields show with Mark Eitzel at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre is the ottest ticket in town – unless you’re a George Thorogood fan, which means you’re heading to the House of Blues. … The Hounds Below [listen], the new band from the Von Bondies’ Jason Stollsteimer, joins Miranda Lee Richards and Rachel Dean and War Children at Spaceland. … New Warp Records signees Nice Nice [pictured] visit from Portland to bring their beats and noise to the Echo. … Gold Motel [listen], the new band from Greta Morgan of the Hush Sound, plays the Bootleg Theater on a bill including Rachel Cantu, Michael Runion and Family of the Year. … And Old Californio plays the Mint, with Wheelhouse (featuring Brian Whelan from the Broken West) supporting. … Also: Scary Kids Scaring Kids at the Troubadour; Lucy Woodward at the Hotel Cafe; Last Machine Standing at the Viper Room;: Signals at the Smell; and Sing Orpheus at the Silverlake Lounge.
