The Australian veterans are on a 30th anniversary North American tour that will see the band perform one song from each each of their releases in reverse chronological order. Fans who attend the acoustic show will receive a free copy of their new “Deadman’s Hand” EP. … Elsewhere, the April residencies kick off in Silver Lake/Echo Park, with each of three acts boasting new material that is varying degrees of wonderful. Helen Stellar [pictured] plays Spaceland, where the quartet will have a limited number of copies of their new album “If the Stars Could Speak, They Would Have Your Voice” – a record that takes their neo-shoegaze sound and makes it sound larger than life. Mere Mortals and Hexham Heads support on opening night. … Walking Sleep’s debut album “Measures” is out May 25, and the band formerly known as the Flying Tourbillon Orchestra brings its compelling boy-girl indie pop to the Echo, with Beijing’s Carsick Cars also on the bill. … So Many Wizards’ new EP is titled “Love Songs for When You Leave Me,” and Nima Kazerouni and crew have the Silverlake Lounge residency, with Big Whup and Voice on Tape helping kick things off. … Meanwhile, Charlie Wadhams is among three artists playing with the collective String Box at the Bootleg Theater. … Also: David Scott Stone at Echo Curio; Got No Shame at the Viper Room; and Jack Ladder at the Hotel Cafe.
