Tim Rogers, who makes music as Jack Ladder, is very tall, 6-foot-5 to be precise, and his quartet’s sound seems to have an equally broad wingspan, covering territory including classic rock, R&B and hazy, dark ballads. The Sydney, Australia-based songwriter, with a new album on the way, is touring the U.S. behind his sophomore release, “Love Is Gone.”
