Cribs cancel Coachella gig; others in peril

The Cribs have canceled their scheduled Coachella appearance later today, and several other bands from the U.K. might have to scotch theirs because of the air traffic embargo caused by the huge cloud of volcanic ash that drifted from Iceland to London. “We’re pretty gutted, to be frank,” the Cribs said in a message on their MySpace page. Scottish band Frightened Rabbit, scheduled to play Saturday, is another iffy proposition, according to reports.
