Coachella: Yeasayer, none of comforts of home

Who: Yeasayer at the Mojave Tent.
In 3 or Fewer Words: Oxygen, please, oxygen.
I’ll Remember This (But Not Fondly) Until the Next Suffocating Tent Show Because: Yeasayer fell short of truly capturing the adoring crowd. The synth-wielding Brooklynites certainly tried, but the Mojave was about 2 sizes too small to accommodate any physical activity except some beach-ball tossing. The band’s music is muscular, but not necessarily memorable, save a couple of tunes sch as “Ambling Alp” and “O.N.E.” It’s all about carving out a distinct aesthetic for them, and turning it into a vibe. Mission accomplished, with sweat on top.
What I’d Tell My Friend Who Was at Hockey: Great game, the national sport of Canada.
