Great stuff from touring and local bands alike tonight, starting at the Troubadour where British soul man Jamie Lidell headlines and Minneapolis electro-pop trio Solid Gold [pictured] opens. The Minnesotans (who also play Spaceland on Sunday) recently released their “Synchronize” EP  – and the title track got a remix treatment from L.A.’s Morgan Kibby (of M83, doing business here as White Sea). [Download it here.] … Rogue Wave hits town to headline the El Rey Theatre, and the Murder City Devils play the Glass House. … And at the Bootleg Theater, 4AD’s esteemed experimentalists His Name Is Alive visit to play a headlining gig, with must-see L.A. up-and-comers Pepper Rabbit opening. … Among other bands that call SoCal home: Lemon Sun celebrates the release of a new single (and video) by headlining the Echo. … HoneyHoney winds up a residency at the Hotel Cafe, where Nina Storey also performs. … See Green celebrates the release of its “Violet” EP with an early set at the Viper Room. … And Dante Vs.
