Broken Social Scene [pictured] hits town behind its new album “Forgiveness Rock Record” and plays a sold-out show at the Fonda Theatre. … Lupe Fiasco continues his tour with up-and-comers B.o.B. at the House of Blues. … The Hold Steady chat about their new album “Heaven Is Whenever” and do an acoustic set at the Grammy Museum. They’re back for a show Wednesday at the El Rey Theatre … Sweethead – the new project of Troy Van Leeuwen of Queens of the Stone Age – kicks off its May residency at Spaceland, with the Damn Sons supporting. … War Tapes unveils new material when they being the first night of their Silverlake Lounge residency; Jack Ladder and Dimmer support. … May’s Monday residents at the Echo, the Like, don’t arrive until next week, but the venue has a good local bill tonight, with Square on Square and Cue the Moon. … And at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa, Melee kicks off its residency and Solid Gold (solid fun at Spaceland on Sunday night) supports. … Also: Chris Cornell’s Fullfillment Fund benefit at the Roxy; Daughtry at the Nokia Theatre; the Droogs at a MusiCares benefit at the Troubadour; Devin Rowland at the Viper Room; Two Door Cinema Club at the RSVP-only “School Night” at Bardot; and  the Kin at the Hotel Cafe.
