‣ Jets Overhead have jetted in from Canada – that’s their new video for “I Should Be Born,” above – and since I’ve advocated for them before, I’ll do it again. They play the Roxy on a KROQ Locals Only bill (hmm, KROQ now reaches all the way to Vancouver? That’s impressive) with true locals Italian Japanese, Sea of Cortez and Sabrosa Purr. Good bill, and to celebrate, here’s a download of “I Should Be Born.”
‣ Bettye LaVette and her pipes entertain the crowd at the free 7 p.m. show at the Santa Monica Pier.
