Tonight’s top 3 hangs:
‣ Funeral Party – the young East L.A. rockers who recently made NME’s list of the year’s top new bands – kick off a residency at the Bootleg Theater. They’re signed to RCA, which has pushed back the release of their debut album “Golden Age of Knowhere” to January, but there’s Mike Relm’s video for “NYC Moves to the Sound of LA,” above.
‣ Wait. Think. Fast. [featured here last week] celebrates the release of its sophomore album “Luces De Sur” at the Echo, supported by Light FM, Marvelous Toy and Future Ghost. And this just in, WTF’s “Si Es por Amor” is the free download of the week on iTunes Latino.
‣ Interpol plays Space 15 Twenty on Cahuenga, if you were one of the lucky ones to get a wristband distributed with album purchases or pre-orders.
Your tastes may vary: Free Energy at the Viper Room (where local quartet Links plays their final show); Jason Reeves and Brendan James at the Mint; Crooked Fingers at Spaceland; David Gray and Ray LaMontagne at the Greek; J. Irvin Dally at the Silverlake Lounge; Luke Doucet at the Hotel Cafe; A Pretty Mess at the Redwood Bar; Mestizo at Echo Curio; and a 6 p.m. in-store at Origami featuring Little Teeth.
