Tonight in L.A.: Marvelous Toy, Project Blowed

[So your humble blogger had planned to take this week off, but no … too much going on … even tonight … which, by the way, is Evan Way’s birthday, so here’s a shout-out to the head Parson Red Head up in Portland … ]

Top local outing to warm you up for New Year’s Eve:

‣ Jordan Hudock is one of the most talented and entertaining keyboardists on the scene, whether he is tickling the ivories for his own band, Marvelous Toy, or for the band that annexed his talents, the Henry Clay People. Hudock has been hard at work on a new Marvelous Toy album, the rough draft of which sounds pretty marvelous. MT plays tonight at LaBrie’s in Glendale with Manhattan Murder Mystery and College Kids (the new project from Malcolm Sosa of Rademacher, whose music I’ll preview soon).
