Tonight in L.A.: Admiral Radley, Ted Leo, more

Top choices for what looks to be a wet Saturday night:

‣ Tonight’s show at the Satellite could be the last we hear from Admiral Radley for a while. The quartet – the union of Jason Lytle (pictured during last year’s Also I Like to Rock performance at the Hammer Museum) and Aaron Burtch from Grandaddy, and Aaron Espinoza and Ariana Murray from Earlimart – soon will return to other endeavors. Espinoza and Murray will work on the follow-up to 2008’s “Hymn and Her,” while Lytle will work on his next solo album, as well as a reissue of Grandaddy’s 2000 album “The Sophtware Slump.” Excellent support lineup at tonight’s gig too: The Sea of Cortez and Blonde Summer.
Ted Leo [see the excellent story in the Times this week] plays solo at the Mondrian Hotel’s Skybar.
Vaud and the Villains bring their bawdy-and-fun New Orleans-style show to the Mint.
‣ And indie-rock and experimental music collide at Pehrspace in an event thrown by small label Easter Everywhere; sets by Throw Me The Statue’s Scott Reitherman and shoegazers Sleeping Bags will alternate with experimental stuff from Chris Kallmyer and Cat Lamb – the latter doing “a 40 minute viola and oscillator exploration of sine waves and microtonality.”

Update: The Rick Ross / Gucci Mane / Soulja Boy show scheduled tonight at the Palladium has been canceled.
